Your Travel Packing Checklist

Oh no! You just landed on your destination and realized you forgot to take along your essential documents. What do you do now? Well for starters, make a checklist!
It is always helpful for you to have a review on your travel checklist to make sure you’ve got everything you might want to pack.
Here are some points to keep in mind.

Start your planning by collecting all your important documents in one place and save them in a secure document folder that is easy to access. Your important documents that you will require to move to various destinations include your passport and ID cards, also check for their expiry. Other than these it’s important to check credit and debit cards, work files and documents, insurance files, reservations, tickets, any emergency contacts, and appropriate addresses.

Prepare your personal item carry-on bag. Your personal items should be anything that comes in your regular use. This could include toiletries gadget chargers and plug-ins, adapters, eye-masks, etc. Always carry extra outfits with you in the case of emergency or any miss-happening.

Health items such as sanitizers and wipes, glasses, and your contact lenses.
Comfort items such as neck pillows, magazines, guide books and maps for you to catch them as soon as you are needy.

It will be easier for you to access a bag anytime you want without getting in your main travel luggage. It should also be lighter in weight for you to carry and place it quickly where it is not hard to reach.

It is not easy to take along a variety of stuff in one bag and then end up having to search the whole bag for a single thing. One of the best things you can do to prevent yourself from making a mess is to pack an organizer with you. It will be easy for you to get from one place to another without rearranging your whole bag. Organizers usually have zipped cubes and cover less space with fitting most of your things without merging them. Socks, light weight shirts, jeans, inner garments, jewelry and other accessories can be organized.

Pack a toiletry bag. Keep it light but filled with all the prescriptions you depend on. Creams, aerosols, liquids, pills all must be in a clear zip-log bag for easy security check. Do not forget on any of the medicine that you need in case of your allergies. Else toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash for oral health; Hair comb, hair ties, pins, skin products and personal hygiene items carried along with extra’s such as the mirror; perfumes should be kept along.

Keep your travel security in mind. You do not know much about other countries and pickpockets outside the airport. Keep your belongings safe and hidden. The safest place for them is stashing them under your clothes. You can do this with a belt area, hidden pocket, neck wallet. Keep your things safe by placing them close to your body and away from hands.

If you are planning a long trip make sure somebody is looking over your house. Have a safe journey!
